We have been making medicine in liquid form (hanyak) for over fifteen years. These recipes are the result of research on effective human curatives—a legacy stretching back to ancient traditions.

When patients took our Hanyak, they would share their amazement with Dr. Choi at how effectively they were cured. Through the years Dr. Choi continued to refine her recipes until she was left with a repertoire of only the best remedies. Hearing back from so many happy patients, she wanted to share her Hanyak with the rest of the world.

Unfortunately this proved more difficult than anticipated. For one, patients had to constantly make the trip to the clinic to pick up the Hanyak, but liquid packets were difficult to buy in bulk and had a relatively short shelf life. In addition, many complained that the foul taste of Hanyak made it hard to consume regularly. Dr. Choi puzzled over how to provide her Hanyak conveniently and efficiently.

Then she realized that she could convert her Hanyak into pill form—provide all the benefits of her liquid Hanyak with the convenience of bottled pills. Today all of her recipes for every ailment can be found in pill form on our store—made on-site by Dr. Choi.

We buy the herbs and ingredients and ground it into powder, then infuse it with Alkali water. Our machine separates the mixture into the familiar round shapes, which are then coated with oyster powder to prevent sticking and left to air-dry.
